I've known I'm starting to get a little older. I'm well out of my twneties and deep into my thirties but I never thought of myself as old. That is, until I finally went into the office with me new job.
I'm one of the very few guys in my department and the youngest by at least 15 years. The rest of the employees though, are women in their twenties fresh out of college. During my first week one of them commented on the grey hairs starting to show up in my beard. I make them laugh with memes on Teams, but anytime they start talking about music I'm at a lost thanks to pretty much only listening to the same stuff on Spotify I listened to in college.
I don't know who started it, but now they've started calling me Hot Dad or HD for short. I'm sure it's all in good fun but boy did I not expect to be "the old guy" in my mid-thirties!
