Just started playing the game again after a long break and have started the Naturalist role. A friend and me spent about 4 hours today trying to get different legendary animals to spawn. We followed guides, read wikis, made sure to go at the right time of day during the right weather, went to specific spawn points, even tried changing servers and nothing.

Are we missing something? We're both only level 2 naturalists, so does it get easier to find legendaries when levelling up? Somehow we came across a legendary beaver the other night but by complete chance and figured we'd actually try looking for some. If I hadn't seen the legendary beaver I'd be easily convinced that legendary animals aren't even in the game lol
