How to increase bullet capacity?

So I just wasted a good amount of money at a gun store for a gun belt and a bandolier thinking it would increase the amount of bullets I can carry as they do in store mode, however, I can still only carry 200 repeater/revolver bullets, and 100 rifle bullets, I am a level 20, did I just waste a bunch of money? How can I increase bullet capacity?
