Dusty Attic Shorts is a series of short audio stories incorporating elements of Twilight Zone, Tales from the Crypt, and the author's own fevered mental meanderings. See the link at the end of the post for season 1. We're casting for season2 now, and would love to have you. Below are listed available roles and audition lines.

Lisa: Female, late teens to 30s. A nerd in a LARP session. She is playing as a virtuous young maiden rescued in the nick of time from the clutches of a vampire. A smaller part, but one that involves a bit of horrified screaming once she realizes the game is over and shizz just got real.

Lines: 1. You are brave to come here Wraithborn, an echo of the noble man you once were, perhaps. But you should leave this place. I, Lady Livianne am free of your spell and have no wish to go with you. 2. (Breaking character. Someone brought a real weapon to a LARP game and she's just caught sight of it.) W-wait... hey, what is that? You can't use that!

3. (Screaming.) Noo! Stop! Someone call the police! Help!

Kenny - Male, preteen. He's hoarse and sick. Unfortunately for his babysitter, it's not a cold or the flu. He's a zombie. One of the Return of the Living Dead ones, so he can still speak.

Lines: 1. I'm cold... 2. I'm hungry...

3. (Zombie growling and groaning. This will go over the appetizing soundtrack of you devouring the babysitter.)

Lesley - Female, thirties or forties. A 911 dispatcher allowing a new employee of the station to shadow her. She is calming but firm on the phone, a little world-weary when talking to her coworker.

Lines: 1. I'm still here, don't worry. Can you see the front door from where you are? 2. Those sirens are us, that's for you okay? Just stay with me a little longer, I wanna make sure they've got you. 3. (Off the phone now.) More the exception than the rule, I'm afraid. People don't call nine one one because everything's alright. 4. (Unsettled, resigned.) We can't help you Ellie, I'm sorry. Just relax okay? Just try and relax. Try and let go. 5. She's been calling for help on the anniversary of her death for the last twelve years.

Virginia - Female, in her 70s. This sweet old gal just ended up catching her foot in the rug and fell and hit her head. She's calling for help. She's a little confused and hard of hearing.

Lines: 1. Yes, I think my head is bleeding. I might've hit it. 2. Oh. Just a minute sweetheart, I think someone's here.

3. Alright, the ambulance is here honey. I'm gonna let you go now okay?
