TL;DR: We're giving out tokens to the creators and co-owners of the most engaging custom rooms every week or two. These tokens are split evenly between the creator and all room co-owners. There is a minimum number of tokens required to send out a package containing your tokens. If you have too many co-owners on your room you might lower the number of tokens going to each player enough that its too small to receive a package. Co-owners are also responsible for all moderation consequences on a room so choose co-owners wisely!
We've had a few questions about the creator token rewards so here's some more info for everyone. If you aren't aware we've started giving out a large pool of tokens to the most engaging rooms every week or two, split evenly between the creators and co-owners of each room that qualifies. These rooms require a lot of time and effort to build and maintain. Especially as we release updates to how custom rooms work the creative tools, which can sometimes throw room designs out of whack :frowning2: We really appreciate custom room creators and we think dividing up a regular token reward pool between the most engaging rooms is a good way to start experimenting with regularly rewarding room builders and co-owners.
Some players have been confused why one player might receive a token package when another player who is also a part of the same room might not. The reason for this is that the player who received a package was likely the creator or co-owner on multiple rooms that qualified as highly engaging. We add up the number of tokens each player would be rewarded across all of the rooms they are a creator or co-owner on that qualify, then distribute that total number of tokens in one package. However there is a minimum number of tokens required for us to send out a package. So if you have a very high number of co-owners on a room this might put you under the minimum amount for a package once it is divided evenly among everyone. This can lead to cases where a player who is a creator or co-owner across multiple rewarded rooms can accumulate enough tokens for a package where other players who are only a creator or co-owner on that one room might not. As a creator, your co-owners should be players you're happy to share your token rewards with. Someone who contributed at a creator level to your room.
The most engaging rooms earn more tokens than rooms that were mildly engaging or rooms that just made the cut. So you can still have a high number of co-owners on a room that took a lot of collaboration and still earn a lot of tokens. However if your room falls in the middle engagement or 'just made the cut' level of engagement, its possible that having a very high number of co-owners could prevent you from receiving a package if the number of tokens divided evenly between the creator and co-owners results in a low enough number of tokens per player that it doesn't meet the required amount to send out a package.
Also keep in mind that co-owners are equally as responsible for ensuring a room remains within the Code of Conduct as the creator. If a room faces moderation consequences, co-owners will face those consequences as well. So be sure each time you save your room that you've looked it over to ensure its within the CoC. As a co-owner realize that by accepting this role you take on this responsibility. As a creator, realize anyone you invite to be a co-owner could save your room in a state that puts it ouside of the Code of Conduct and that you and the other co-owners would face the moderation consequences for that action. So choose co-owners wisely
