I used to put major time in on rec climbing on psvr 1 a couple years ago. My system broke and while I replaced it recently i just didn't pick it up a lot.
Just bought a quest 2 and I've been "climbing" every night after work after my rig charges. Going to get a battery pack this weekend hopefully so I can put in longer sessions. IYKYK how zen and relaxing it is, but also the workout you can get in your arms. The only thing missing a the moment is chill conversation or cracking a few jokes, even sharing techniques or working through difficulties.
I don't have any friends on oculus yet and while I used to run into older people doing quests it seems like everyone is on showdown or in private or something. That plus the climbing rooms are pretty empty (not a bad thing, I don't miss how it was when they debuted). If anyone wants to get a climbing club going that'd be rad. I'm down to play/check out other games as well
