Hey, so I'm pretty new to Reaper and recording music in general. I recently managed to get an audio interface setup working to record my electric guitar with an amp sim and everything thanks to a very helpful redditor. I'd been having a lot of fun with it up until this morning when I opened up Reaper and every 5-10 seconds a burst of white noise happens... It's not the setup as I completely unplugged everything and tried just arming a track for recording with no devices plugged in and the same thing keeps happening... I updated Reaper, rebooted my computer, and went through all my settings to see if I could notice anything different but nothing... Does anyone have any ideas as to what might be causing it?
