EDIT SOLVED: All I had to do was push "shit drag" and that will slide the split along instead of inserting the gap as pictured below. I did infact change something in my setting by accident, so if somebody could chime in with how to change that that would be sweet, but I can slide the splits along now, so at least I can function. Thanks, All.
Could somebody help restore my settings? Some of you might know that I've been trying to slip edit drums and stuff the past few weeks - I figured out how to do that and all is well, but I think I might've messed something up when i was adjusting my sws crossfade settings or something. I've got it so that it automatically inserts a crossfade on my splits when I'm slip editing, but I seems to have lost my ability to "Drag" where I've made the splits. Previously, when i would hover over the split, I was given the nice little "pinch" marker arrow tool, which allowed me to keep the take underneath intact and simply drag the split marker along. Now, I've lost the "pinch arrows" and my attempt to drag the split automatically imposes a gap. I've attached a screenshot. I'm so sorry if I'm not explaining that correctly. I need to figure out how to make a video of the phenomenon. Anyhow, anybody who knows what Im' talking about please let me know in the meantime.
Thanks.
