What on earth did I do here and how do I undo it??

Opened up a session from a while back to find this lovely surprise - Bass tracks are wedged in with drum tracks and so on and so forth and I've got this lovely "X" patten which I'm assuming is some giant cross fade?? Weird stuff is selected all over. How did I do this??
