Okay, so I did my traditional scouring Youtube vids and I really couldn't find anything for this (what seems to be) a super simple function??

- I've got a session with a bunch of drums. Of course, the space between the tom hits is deleted, but when I go to export the files as WAVS, the silence (the space between the edits) is not registering. So, I'm just ending up with a wav file that is 26 seconds long or whatever - the length of the tom hits in total, not the total length of the song. This make sense??

I assumed there would be a simple function under the export tab such as "generate silence" or something, but I just can't find anything...

Help??

If anybody has a word/ term for what I'm trying to do, please interject.
