Certain Plugins not Functioning in Reaper any Longer?

*Edit: I just called a computer store, and they guided me where to view the video drivers, and they're fine, so it's not that...

Okay, the briefest of synopsis:

I used to enjoy using Analog Obsession plugins as well as other visually heavy plugins in Reaper. I had been having problems with my computer during tracking (stalling and such, doing other weird things), and I noticed that every time I allowed Microsoft to update, something weird would happen. No matter how many times I took it to Best Buy (Listen, I'm not a techy guy to start with. I know guys, I know...) it just wouldn't run like I needed it to. So... I took matters into my own hands; I completely disconnected it from the internet, scrubbed the thing as best I could, and thus made it into a designated tracking and mixing computer. And... it's been running perfectly ever since. Been a year or so now without a hitch. The only thing is that I suspect I may have accidentally deleted some necessary video drivers or something because certain plugins that I used to happily use are now missing components of their GUIs, rendering them basically unusable. Or some plugins now make Reaper crash. Lot's of times I'll download a plugin, too, and Reaper won't recognize it - even though it's pointed to that folder in Preferences...

I DO have a laptop that I allow to connect to the internet (the one that I'm typing from right now) - Is there a way I can diagnose what's going on with my Reaper computer, find out what I need, download it onto a usb from this computer, and then upload that onto my Reaper computer?? Or, I suppose, the other option is to simply leave that computer for strictly tracking, and then buy a new laptop that I use strictly for mixing. This laptop actually has Reaper, and I can use all the plugins on this computer just fine, but it's ENTIRELY too slow to mix on - glitchy as all hell. Doesn't work AT ALL...

I know I'm stuck in the Stoneage, but I'm a poor artist guys. Cut me some slack.

Cheers
