So, what I am actually wondering, what if Realm would just go back to it's launch state with bugs fixed.
-Having 3 instead of 2 abilities was a lot better, and this is a big point which makes the game less fun than back then : Fucking cooldowns, like seriously why did we go from having 10 sec cooldown greys to like 30 seconds. It removes a lot of the fun for me personally.
-Armor was to be honest a great part of the game, I also prefered the fact that for example gauntlets back then would give you increased reload speed, it was imo a better system than runes. NOTE: we can still have runes but with some of them removed/changed since gauntlets gave reload speed/helmet gave headshot resistance etc...
-Classes, where the fuck is Engineer ? Like we currently have for example barricade in the game and it belongs to no class, still feels weird. I know why it was removed, I played on the big Engineer patch where they would jump in the air every second and it was impossible to play against but it needed to get nerfed, not removed. Another big point, I still feel like it's weird that for example an Assassin can play with an Axe, just keep weapons for each class imo. The fact that they added more Legendary weapons for a specific class is fine however. Also, this was not the case on launch but was the best system we had I think : you need 2 kills to be able to craft a legendary weapon, I thought this encouraged aggresive gameplay and made the game a lot more exciting.
-Underpass, does anyone here miss Underpass forge ? I do, I thought it was one of the most fun spots on the map back then, If u were playing duo's it would be like defending it with 1 person at each entrance I just thought it was a lot of fun.
I do think Realm made steps forward for sure, I like the fact that there are more weapon/abilities and skins for example, I just can't help but wonder how much the playerbase would grow if we would go back to the old style of gameplay. A lot of people including me had A LOT of fun at release, maybe the most fun I have ever had playing a game. A lot of well known streamers loved it since it was one of the most popular games for about a month with people like Summit playing the game all day.
EDIT: Something I thought of after making the post, I really wish they would go back to the old chest system aswell where it wasn't random, no legendary items randomly coming out, you had chests with a guaranteed weapon and most of all : not personal chests, which means if I open it, my friend can't open it. I think that personal chests leads to squads just looting in a formation of 4, which is imo a bad thing.
