You asked "Can i ask what is the main problem with the Volition and this game for you. I mean how could things get better for this franchise and this community?".
Ok, so you've seen all the hostility surrounding the entire franchise between old-school and new-school fans. My main issue with these reboot fans and perhaps more-so Volition is that they don't seem to be terribly receptive to constructive criticism calling fans "haters" and saying "we won't back down". And to too it off, there's a lot of hostility in the saints Row subreddit with the new fans silencing old fans and mods removing a lot of critical posts. Over 10k users left the subreddit last month from what I heard, and it's believable. The backstory for the characters was underwhelming with them saying "they created a gang to pay student loans", but their latest update last week kind of rectified that by saying giving the characters a better backstory. I really suggest looking at that update. I will say Volition had to cater to 3 levels of higher-ups so that may have influenced the development of the game. Their budget shouldn't be an issue since with the epic games exclusivity deal, I think Epic covers the budget or at least a significant portion of it. But I do think this game can get if they make the characters seem less silly and goofy, more mature basically and I think that can happen throughout the game. Gameplay looks good, map looks good. I don't think this will top SR2, but I do think this will be pretty good if the characters have good progression. I have hope. Not buying at launch though.
