My home is currently in contract for a 30 day close. Things have been moving pretty quickly and we may be able to close about a 7-10 days earlier than expected. The buyer would like this and I am open to it as well.
My agent seems to be eager for the earlier close. I am moving to a city about three hours away so am coordinating with movers that I have worked with in the past. They are available a few days later than we would like but would still close a week earlier. I informed my agent so he would be aware for a potential final walk through after all my belongings are out and I have the house cleaned. He informed me that it is common for people to still have their homes furnished during the final walk through. This makes zero sense to me, but I am not an agent and wanted to ask you all. Should all my shit still be in the house during the final walk through? Thanks!
