hey yall . new to this sub. Wife and I are selling our first home in the spring here with the housing market booming this past and if the sell goes good. We're kicking the idea of moving South to our dream location for our forever home. I got a couple of questions on building or should just buy? The location We're thinking of is on Daulphin Island in Alabama. Fun little community town right on the gulf. My questions are.

Is it feasible to buy a lot of land and build our own land. What are some of the complications we might run into? Just wondering if its cheaper then buying a house. If we build gonna to clear out the lot of land we buy and go from there. we have a while to decide definitely not rushing into. probably be june or july when we decide. Im just trying to gather some info on building vs buying etc. Any tips wouls be great.
