Previous buyer backed out due to mold report, seller has report saying there's no mold found?

Post Body

I found a house previously but it went under contract before I could view it. Now, a week later, the property is back on the market. Apparently previous buyer had an inspection come back with mold. The report states its "Chaetomium" but only says it's on the 1st level. I toured the home and did not see any mold, nor any attempt to cover mold, like new paint or new drywall patches. The seller agent has a report saying there is no mold found in the house from another company. They also say they do not know where the previous buyer found mold either, they were never told, and think the inspection could be false. My agent tried contacting the inspection company for details but they won't talk to us because we didn't order it/don't live there. So clearly, someone is lying. Either there is mold, or there isn't.

A friend told me that it might not be mold but more a termite issue? I love the house, but my fear is that even with an inspector we could miss the issue and then have an even larger problem with the house. Would you walk away? Or would you just make sure you've got an amazing inspector and go if given the all clear?
