Ok.g Here is what is could be interpreted as a stupid question. I hope it doesn't get deleted for not being what this sub-Reddit is for but here goes....
I'm buying a condo. I bought a house once back in the 90s with my now ex-wife but she pretty much did all the work dealing with buying it (she wanted that house much more than I did in a town outside NYC that I really didn't and don't care for...anyway....).
So I'm actually dealing with everything pretty well and my closing date is November 30th and I hope to move in almost immediately.
Here is the stupid question: how do I get internet? I know I need a modem and service from a provider like Verizon. I know there is a coaxial cable coming out of a couple of black boxes in one of the closets and it comes out to a wall in the living room. My question is how does all of it get setup? Let's say I call Verizon for internet for my apartment/condo. How do they know or how do they setup the line for a modem? I feel so dumb for asking.
