Post Body

Hi, I apologize if this isn't the right subreddit, and in case my abbreviation isn't clear I'm posting from Israel (but general advice is welcome). My husband and I are looking to buy a home with our number one priority being in one of a few specific neighborhoods. Many of the homes we can currently afford have good bones but require a good amount of updating - for instance we saw one yesterday that had all original flooring, kitchen, bathrooms from the 70s. I know that renovating areas like the kitchen and bathroom can get really expensive really fast. What are some factors I can look at or consider to calculate which renovations are worthwhile, and would be best reflected in the value of the home?
