So hey, I’m selling my house in NJ and moving to the Las Vegas area. Since we bought at the right time in 2020, I have over $100k in equity. Currently my wife works in NJ and I’m a 100% P&T disabled veteran. I have some debt which will be taken care of with the sale of the house but my score is currently around 700. My question is: with moving to a new area my wife won’t be working immediately but I will still have my VA disability. Will my VA disability be enough income be enough for a mortgage? If so, how much could I be approving for? 2024 100% is 4,100 a month which (from my understanding) is normally adjusted due to being tax exempt. I’d prefer to buy at the same time we sell if that’s possible.
