False Positive Ehlrich Testing for 2cb?

Chemist is saying I used too much 2cb to in my reagent test. An Ehlrich test showed pink/purple when it’s supposed to have no reaction for 2cb. The Marquis, Mecke, and Mandelin tests all showed presence of 2cb. I was just surprised to see Ehlrich react.
