It's funny, family and friends are always asking "have you seen that new show/movie?", and I realized the other day that 90% I divulge on TV is spent on anime. I stumbled upon Re-Zero on Crunchyroll and added it to my list. I had seen the show a few times and confused it with the readaptation of Fairy Tails (can't remember the name or if it's an adaptation but the cat is in the show). I'm around the 6th episode of Re:Zero and I'm blown away. Most shows involving the "transportation to another world" plot line, involve humor and an insane amount of power when the heroine awakes. The fact that Subaru has no special powers intrigued me at first. As the show progressed he has become one of my favorite anime characters. Imagine waking up in another world and you have infinite lives but no superpowers, reliving days and horrors, and can't tell a single soul! Wow. Just wanted to share with any fans out there that this is great. Anime has, in my opinion, a broader range of what-ifs, and more creativity and imagination.A level I feel has yet to be seen on live television. One thing I wish they would change in the anime genre is continuity. I've seen so many shows just like this one that piqued my imagination, all 12 episodesπ, and years later no additional seasons. Very disappointing. I'm always drawn to the longer shows but there is so much Naruto,One Piece etc. I can watch. What do you guys think is cool about the show and let me know if you have any similar, and hopefully long shows to watch.
