What are some good new roles to look into for a mid level configuration management person?

Post Body

I've been with the company for a few years now as a CM person. A lot of the recent changes to the company overall scare me, and I'm looking to at least start looking at the job market and see what's out there. I've found I work really well remotely and would love a job where I can stay remote, and ideally get out of the DoD industry, too. When I look around for CM jobs, I mostly see more defense company jobs. Does anyone have any recommendations or ideas for me to branch out my career and take some next steps? Maybe some other roles to look into or things to learn.
