Note: I'm being hyperbolic here.
Now, I would like to make the distinction between logical thinking, critical thinking, and knowledge. I'm sure I don't need to explain this but I want to clarify that I don't think non-psych users are 'dumb' or anything.
Some psych users will allow their critical thinking to take them into the conspiratorial.
But overall, I notice that psych users or people who have used them, are so much more likely to lean towards critical thinking than those who do not use them.
I feel like non-users sometimes have such rigid, mechanical thinking. I see non-users espouse a lot of prescriptive attitudes towards language and it just seems so inflexible.
Does anyone relate at all? I actively seek out psychedelic users online and IRL because I know I'm less likely to be surprised by some nonsensical bullshit once I start to get close to a person. I am tired of running into bigotry or emboldened ignorance or red herrings. I get so much less of it around psych users.
I saw Mike Tyson describe this as psychedelics making you more 'objective' but I don't totally agree with that phrasing of it.
They're not. Hell this post proves that.
