How Insomniac could finish the series once and for all after Rift Apart
Post Body

What if, the next game shows Ratchet, Rivet, Kit and Clank making their pit stop by entering the Lombax Dimension (as shown by them entering that rift in the end credits of Rift Apart) and, when they enter, though Ratchet's father is confirmed dead (and Ratchet's mother) the other lombaxes are happy to see him. Ratchet gets a tour around the Lombax city (seen in ToD, with the skyscrapers shaped like wrenches) however, the happiness is not very long lived.

Not long after, Percival Tachyon makes subtle hints that he is closing in on the lombaxes, to finally finish them off. Sending henchmen consistently, much like Nefarious. They need to complete objectives together to help the fight against Tachyon, like some of the other games, before a rift suddenly opens, with Tachyon raiding the dimension himself.

The protagonists have to stop him, by destroying his walking throne again, and this time, finishing him off so he'll never terrorize the lombaxes again. With Ratchet being given the closure he has always wanted, and Rivet finds her kind, even though the lombaxes want them to stay, Ratchet and Rivet ultimately decide to return to their respective dimensions. In an emotional moment, they part ways, despite knowing that they'll be visiting. When Ratchet returns home, him, Talwyn and Clank decide, that, having got the closure they wanted, finally decide that they can retire. Rivet and Kit feel the same.

What do you guys think? Too generic? Decent ideas? Too Disney-ish? Let me know!
