I truly believe the OG RC is the best game I've played amongst the series. I played RC 1, going commando, up your arsenal, deadlocked, crack in time, Rift apart, and the reboot. Only category that game lacks in his obviously the strafing and weapon leveling. I admit weapon leveling is one of the best features BUT the OG game had one of my favorite stories. I also loved how Ratchet was more meaner and darker compared to the rest. (Deadlocked was just a horrible game to me so I can't even consider it as a top 3 so it is not in conversation lol) I loved Ratchet's attitude and how clank started to change the dynamic. Even though clank did warm Ratchet up, the jump into Going Commando was too different where Ratchet felt more like reboot Ratchet than OG. The lack of strafing made me plan and calculate how I wanted to approach the fights and what weapon would be most efficient and when. The worlds looked amazing and felt like they had a lot more purpose and life. Maybe thats a nostalgia factor since it was my first RC game but the worlds felt so memorable and so did the moments. I felt like every game after pushed too hard for Ratchet to have this good guy hero persona and more goofy personality. First game will always be the best to me. Anybody else agree? Or am I dumb for this take lol
