As I prepare to repot my plants for springtime I am wanting to switch to clear grow pots like I see many people have here so I can keep an eye on root development. I know people probably use everything from regular orchid pots to deli containers and cups with holes poked out.
What kind do you use for your plants and why? What size range for climbers vs crawlers? If anyone has suggestions of anything on Amazon especially that would be great. I have aroids ofc but also jewel orchids, maranta, begonia, and hoya.
Media switching….all of my established plants are currently in soil mix that I make for each one, ones with developing roots and jewel orchids are in moss layered over pumice, very lightly rooted props are in water that I change every few days. (All of my pure moss props have rotted ….even after sterilizing the moss 😢) how do I know if they’re ready for soil? I have a Syngonium tricolor propped successfully(?) that just has one giant aerial root now but is that enough to take it out of the water?
I recently started my plant addiction last summer. This will be my first year going into spring/summer with majority of my plants and I want to set them up for success!
