The other week the extinction against rebellion people blocked up my town centre, I couldn't see the point that they were making apart from dictating themselves. By blocking the roads causes more people to divert which means that it takes people more time to get where they need to go and causes more pollution filling the air.
I was charged over double the price for a paper carrier bag than a plastic one. I was shocked to realise that McDonald's paper straws are not recyclable but have come to a conclusion that they were a waste of time and McDonald's money, Every one hates those paper straws because it changes the flavour of the drink, they get soggy quickly but also trying to sip a milkshake is impossible.
To top it all off, I had a customer who wanted a sliced loaf of bread but without a bag to put it in, I stood there thinking UUHHH how is that suppose to work, she ended up putting it in her rucksack which the loaf fell apart right before my eyes as she struggled to hold it. She was having a right go at me saying why are you destroying the plastic, someone could've bought that, I was like 1. It's how we pack the bread 2. We slice it so it can be sold tomorrow 3. The plastic will get throw away even if I didn't do it 4. It's not my call but head office.
What is this world coming to we are so advanced. I wonder how many of these people own cars which run on fuel creating more CO2 than a little piece of plastic. If they were serious about this issue they wouldn't own a car.
There's plenty more things but for now that's the end of my rant. Hope I have made my point clear.
