But does anyone else find the expression “I believe in science” to be the most godawful, stupid, pretentious expression ever? Science doesn’t require “belief” or “faith”, you jackass. Science is science because it follows a logical path that can be observed and replicated. Literally NO ONE doesn’t “believe in science”, except for the whackaloons who don’t go to the doctor for their ass cancer because “God will heal me” (he won’t). The people who proudly say “I believe in science” are people that are trying to low-key say “I’m a liberal and I don’t question anything anyone who professes to be smarter than me tells me is true.” Saying that doesn’t make you better than anyone else, or put you on some sort of imagined pedestal. It makes you sound like a DOOOOOOUUUUUCCCHHHE BAAAAAAGGGG. If you feel the need to tell people “I believe in Science”, please do the rest of us a favor and stop taking whatever meds you’re taking to keep you form shuffling loose this mortal coil. Look at it this way - it’ll be your way of giving Big Pharma the finger as you wither away and gasp your last breath! Of course, that’s just my opinion. I could be wrong.
