Hello all. 1st post here. Our family is in Mexico so we're house sitting & taking care of things til they come back late tonight. We had a few groceries & wont be able to go grocery shopping til tomorrow. I also start my new job tomorrow. We also had a bit of a rough couple of days. Wednesday a huge thunder storm rolled into Texas & we were hit with a lot of rain. It cooled things down a bit but we lost power & water for about 90 minutes. And Friday night we had no water for the night. Pumps were fixed Saturday morning & we now have our running water back. Whatever little money I do have I'm saving for a trip I'll be taking in Austin. Long story short I lost my last job months ago taking care of my grandpa. I had $400 to almost $500 saved up for a phone that I instead had to use for bills to help the family & put the rest aside for the trip (hotel, gas, etc). I don't know how my new job pays whether its weekly, bi weekly, or at the end of the month. We had a few groceries that we cooked up dinner tonight & I don't think anyone wants to eat sandwiches all day today.
I live in fredericksburg, Texas (zip 78624) & we have both a Dominos & Pizza Hut in our area so either one is ok with us. They're not too far from our house [carry out]. 2 pizzas for 3 adults should cover it. Which consists of myself, my younger brother, and his girlfriend[24, 20, 19]. Both who are the parents of my niece who will be 6 months old this coming Wednesday. No worries though, we have plenty of baby food for her.
Forgive me but I'm gonna be pressed with some bills but I should be able to return the favor & pay it forward after a few months. Maybe even a month or 2.
TL;DR version: slight uphill battle & some obstacles with life overall & these past few days. Low on cash, could use a couple of pizzas for a day to feel at ease & have a small break from life.
