I am very excited to be celebrating my first Mother’s Day even though I never thought I’d be celebrating it from the NICU.

I also want to say that I am aware this day can be very triggering for some because they’re missing their own mothers or want to be mothers, but for whatever reasons are unable to do so. In fact, two days ago was international bereaved Mother’s Day; this day recognizes mothers who have lost a child or are experiencing infertility or other health reasons that prevent them from becoming a mother. Having experienced a pregnancy loss and infertility, I know how hard Mother’s Day can be. So this contest is for all the mamas AND would be mamas!
