Here’s a little bit of background on this here fictional world…

Like 400,000 some odd years ago the axis of earth shifted 3.3 degrees toward the sun. This combined with an giant ice comet being super heated and melting in our atmosphere plunged the planet into a watery utopia. Land masses shrunk until mammals receded back to the sea. Levels raised and in the current day the earths surface is now 99.9% water. Human intelligence was gained not by primates, but by cephalopods. Now two factions exist locked in a battle for supremacy. The squids led by their altruistic lord and liege father Cthulhu who seeks to propagate the seas with knowledge; and the octopi ruled by their beautiful and benevolent queen Ursula who seeks for the seas to be filled with her power and progeny therefore eternal life. Ursula was once the lover of Cthulhu but was cast aside in favour of a paramour with less limbs. This caused a bitter entanglement and the divide between cephalopods. Once thought to be a squid because of her six tentacles it was later revealed that she hailed from an scientific race of octopi that had genetically altered two of their tentacles to be human hands.
