u/orcprincess32 has inspired me, and I will be following in her footsteps in hosting a Juneteenth celebration contest.

"Juneteenth is a federal holiday in the United States commemorating the emancipation of enslaved African Americans. Originating in Galveston, Texas, it has been celebrated annually on June 19 in various parts of the United States since 1866." (Just a wiki snippet for anyone who doesn't know!)

I myself am thrilled that this has become a federal holiday. The response to this news in my locality is disgraceful. To tune any disgrace out, I will be hosting this contest!
