Alright so, first lemme say in the roughly one month since joining this community, it has easily become one of my favorites. Everyone is super rad and so personable and helpful and I just really dig talking to y’all. When I joined, times were a little tough being laid off due to COVID and all and so I mostly just got to hangout and chat.

Well, to that I say, NO MORE watching from the sidelines!!! I’ve been working a new job I love, and with my real life birthday less than a week away, I’ll have a couple extra bucks and wanted to return the love and warmth I’ve felt from this community. And what better way to do that, than a contest?!

Ok, so, I wanted to do something fun and of course, Halloween-esque, so here’s what I’m asking for:

*Post a drawing or created picture of a pop culture, movie, TV show, etc., character given a horror treatment. You can interpret that however you like, just so long as it’s something you create. *

I’ll be picking my favorite person to gift up to $20, and I’ll also pick a runner up for a little $5 prize. So show me your best vision of character(s) given the Halloween treatment.

(PS I’m a sucker for a good pun of clever joke, so if you can incorporate that somehow, it might give you a leg up... just sayin’)

I’m going to let the contest go for one week, so I’ll pick the winners on Tues. Oct, 20th. I can’t wait to see what you all come up with.

So here’s a quick rules recap, in a tl;dr version: 1. Show a drawing/created picture of a character with some kind of horror or Halloween treatment. 2. To keep things fair, you will have to post your picture or a link in the comments, I can’t have it PM’ed, that wouldn’t be right. Post confidently for everyone to see! 3. I’ll choose the winner ($20 gift) and runner up ($5 gift) on Tuesday, October 20th so you have until the end of the night on the 19th to submit.
