Hi everybody!

I'm a 23 year old female living in Chicago and originally from Michigan! I moved here about a year ago for my Master's degree in Women's Studies and Gender Studies. (The joke I like to make is that I'm roughly 9 months away from being a certified angry feminist.) My one year anniversary of living in Chicago is actually August 15th. I stumbled upon this subreddit a few weeks ago and it absolutely RADIATED some desperately needed positivity in these really dark times.

I actually just moved into a new apartment by myself (!!!) with my sweet kitty Luna. I'm also a plant mom to myriad of houseplants and succulents (not pictured: my snake plant and my spider plant). I LOOOVE to bake, cook, and read. The women in my life (my mom, my stepmom, and my grandma). Gordon Ramsay, and Anthony Bourdain taught me everything I know about baking and cooking.

My library is pretty small right now but being in grad school means I'm constantly acquiring and reading new books for classes and just for sheer curiosity. Some of my favorite TV shows are Scrubs, Hell's Kitchen, Shameless, Parts Unknown, Last Chance U, and That '70s Show! I also love college football and college basketball.
