Hi everyone! I just discovered this fun community! I love this way of spreading joy. I've been a part of other "random acts" groups, primarily mailing out cards and handing out trinkets at my local geek convention. I've also done the Reddit Secret Santa a few times. My favorite part of Secret Santa is sending things to people (although I do like to be surprised, I won't lie!).
I enjoy creating things. I like to say that I have craft ADD. I can knit, crochet, sew, embroider, and do bobbin tatting, all with a basic level of proficiency, because I saw the next craft and moved on. But I still go back to them and enjoy them. My current jam is making cards and paper crafts. I also like to make models from model kits. I'm currently half way through making my FIRST EVER ship in a bottle (which I find strangely exciting).
I also enjoy reading. I used to say that I would only read on paper, but that has shifted since kindles became backlit and I can now read in the dark. Now I only read on my Kindle.
While I'm crafting, I watch A LOT of TV and movies. I guess "watch" should be in quotes. I watch some, but I listen a lot as I'm working on my stuff with my head mostly down, peeking up every once in a while.
I've also been known to enjoy video games. If you look at my reddit history, you'll see that I've been playing a lot of Pokemon lately. I also play Pokemon Go and have been since day 3 of its release. I usually enjoy adventure games (point and click adventures are awesome), logic games, and simulation games. A good tower defense game can't be beat either. I'm pretty close to finishing up Portia.
I look forward to interacting with all of you more as time goes on!
