I'm not a super strict Christian/Catholic but I still like to honour the season of Lent because I believe fasting and giving up things we enjoy is a good way to connect with our inner selves. I truly believe its not just a religious practice but a good healthy thing too! That said I will be spending much time in prayer this season, but don't worry, I won't be preachy about it on Reddit. :D
I'm giving up Dunkin & starbucks coffee, so to only have coffee at home unless I'm travelling (gas station coffee for me then!), and beer, which is a big thing for me around St Patricks season. I'm also going to fast from solid foods every Wednesday and Sunday (coffee, tea, and water only).
Anyone else practicing Lent?
