This year we our daughter is old enough to enjoy Christmas and the holiday season leading up to it so I’m extra excited this year to make it fun. I am one of those that gets incredibly into things because I just find magic in it all. First time I went to DisneyWorld at 23, you would have thought I was a 6 year old. I love it! Anyway, I really love hearing about things that make other people happy and bring magic to them, particularly for the holidays! But also, I would love to maybe find some new fun traditions or elements to adopt to add some extra fun.
And as a bonus question (because I want some help): If you celebrate Christmas and do stockings, how do you all do this? Growing up it was a big deal for us and my aunt would fill stockings with small gifts and candy. The gifts were typically under $5 but they were perfect for each of us. I usually got crafty things or dinosaur stuff, both things that I love so much. But my husbands family would put gifts in the stocking if it was small, even if it was $100 gift. And my aunt would fill every stocking on Christmas Eve except her own, and we would open those before opening presents. My uncle would fill hers. I tried adopt this for my family but my husband didn’t quite get it so the lasts few years he has a fun stocking and I’ve had random gas station finds. Haha He claims that he really doesn’t understand it, too. I’m not complaining, I find it sweet. But I wondered if someone had a different way they do stockings that may be better suited for us.
