I have no idea where to start. I am a mother of a very active 3.5 year old daughter and married to my best friend. My husband and I have recently been able to get married in August but have known that we were meant to be together for much longer (story for another time). [We waited over 7 years just to be able to get married]

I work with the homeless population in housing initiatives helping individuals whom would otherwise be homeless maintain housing. It is a rewarding career but can be extremely exhausting some days and leaves me not wanting to be around people but still wanting to connect. The internet provides me with the opportunity to connect with others without the pressures I put on myself normally to be perfect. I am very passionate about my work and tend to be a workaholic though I strive towards not being one.i have worked in this field for 8 years and take joy in being able to support others

An old friend once told me about this sub about 4 years ago (?) but I never ended up looking into it and now that I am looking around reddit for a community it popped up and it seems like a very friendly community to be apart of. In my spare time (when I can find some) I enjoy crochet, beading, journaling, some video games, table top games, thrift store shopping, baking, meditation and self-improvement.

I love a good self care challenge if anyone is interested in completing one with me or a fitness challenge.

I used to weigh about 300 lbs in a size 24 pants and managed getting down to a size 10 pants (seriously 14 sizes) but have recently gained a bit back due to stresses (size 16ish now) from switching jobs and losing past work friends. But I am gearing up to be healthier again.
