I like to go out with my friends and stay up until who knows when, talking about who knows what (conspiracies. It always ends in conspiracies. My friends are weird). But I also like laying on my kitchen floor pretending I'm a crumb with no responsibilities. I like rap and sticking it to the man, but I also pay my bills on time.

Hella dope Adjacent 

I'm a married, 23 year old, African American, female with a kid. I have to spend my time wisely! 

When I was living away from home while at college, I was at my prime woke-ness; I was livin my best life! I was taking classes full time, being an advocate for women and minorities, working part time, and sleeping never. I would wake up, punch dance it out to some music like the wonderful Wilson Phillips' 'Hold On', put my face on, get dressed, and head to class. 

The dope part of me: brought in a zip lock bag with half a pizza in it and sat in the back row, feet up, doin my thing

The non dope part of me: read ahead in the textbook so I could actively participate in discussions and roll in that extra credit. 

After being at school for hours, I'd come home, probably finish that aforementioned pizza, and hang out in my room, relax for a few minutes, then off to work. 

Dope: name tag? Pfft. Never wore it just so I could hide from customers if the opportunity came. Wear mostly black and wear old lady shoes? Nuh-uh! I stay lookin like a snack! I would wear whatever my soul guided me to. 

Not dope: pick up trash in other people's areas and fill in so my coworker could leave early. 

Now I'm a mom. I'm a mom. I got shit that has to get done. But don't be surprised if you see me twerkin in target in the diaper isle because I found a hella good deal. 

Just because I'm a mom doesn't mean i stopped droppin it like it's hot, i just modified it to squattin like it's warm.
