Hello frens!
As some of you know (thank you for the support and kind words <3) my depression has been flaring hard lately.
Tomorrow afternoon, I will be leaving to spend 3-4 nights at my dad’s dog/house-sitting while he is away. As such, I’ll be spending a lot of time in a home that is not my own (so I don’t have to worry about cleaning, etc.) I can’t leave the dogs alone for long periods, so I’ll be spending most of my time at the house. I’m in the Midwest where the weather is currently below freezing.
I see this as an excellent opportunity to indulge in some self-care. I plan on bringing a laptop for playing The Sims, my iPad for mobile games, at least two books, a coloring book, and possibly supplies to start a bullet journal (I have purchased supplies but have been too intimidated to start.) I know my dad recorded a couple movies for me to watch (finally get to see Bohemian Rhapsody!)
I want to relax as much as possible, decompress from the stress that’s weighing me down, and recharge.
So, to that end, what are your go-to self-care strategies? What helps you relax? What else can/should I try?
