I've been lurking for a little while trying to figure things out here and I finally decided to go ahead and introduce myself! I'm 30yrs old from Ohio. I have no kids but two fluffy cats that I rescued a few years ago. I'm more of a dog person, but I was working really long hours at the time and knew I wouldn't be able to give a dog the attention they would need. So, I got two cats instead so they could keep themselves company and I didn't have to worry about letting them outside. Luckily, I don't work such long hours anymore, so I get to spend more time with them. To my surprise, they ended up being kind of dog like so it all worked out :D

Currently, I work with abused children, mainly third shift at a facility that requires 24hr supervision. Even though I do not get to interact with the children as much as other shifts, it is very important to me that the children feel safe when they sleep at night. Many other employees tend to fall asleep on overnights and that really irritates me. I am one of the few that can actually stay up, so for the sake of my 'kids' I stay on the graveyard shift. It doesn't hurt that I get to be on my laptop and/or phone all night, unlike the other shifts that have to lock their phones away ;)

Anyway, I'm terrible at intros but I am an open book :D
