I was just wondering as I looked through some of the gifts and wish lists, what are some of the unfiltered honest reasons why some of you guys joined up.

As for me when I first saw this sub-reddit I thought "hey, I could use some one getting me stuff randomly." Even after looking through it a few times I had the same thought. It was not until I took the plunge and made my intro that my ideas bout this place changed.

I had the most welcoming experience from all the comments and replies. Then I took a better look at the sub-reddit and found out that this was not a place with separate givers and receivers. Here people who are just like me and get supper excited about getting cool new stuff and are just as excited to share in that joy when they give it to another person can find people to enjoy that experience with.

So I want to know why did you join?

Are you like me, did you start coming here to try to get stuff? If so did something change you mind like it did for me?

Did you start coming here for some completely different reason? Has that reason changed over time?
