Hello Random_Acts_Of_Amazon!

I feel like I have done one of these Introductions before, but I couldn't locate it so perhaps it was all in my imagination.

First off, I would like to state that you all are amazing for creating such a wonderful subreddit that is filled with kindness and generosity. Of the many aspects of anonymity on the internet you have created a close-knit community of positive people doing positive things for each other.

A little about me in the form of a list:

• I am a father to a wonderfully curious 18 month little boy. His name is Brock and he is the center of my universe.
• This is my second year teaching 7th grade English, and I absolutely adore teaching my students the wonders of literature and writing.
• I have my B.A. in English Education with endorsements in Creative Writing and American Literature.
• I won the President's Writing award in the category of Poetry on the day my son was born. Double Bonus!
• I love to read short stories and poetry. My favorite authors are George Saunders, Zachary Schomburg, Russell Edson, and Charles Bukowski. I tend to be drawn to post-modernism and satire, but I also enjoy fantasy novels. I am currently in the middle of George R. R. Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire" collection.
• I am a little kid at heart and I love to play board games and video games. My family has the tradition of holding game nights every week, and we love to play Settlers of Catan.
• I am a HUGE Zelda fan! My father used to play The Legend of Zelda when I was a child and I would stay up late watching him and fell in love with the franchise. I have been working on a collection of video games and collectibles for about five years now, and I hope to eventually have a good enough collection to display it in my office.
• In my free time I like to write, color, and doodle. I have always utilized journals and notebooks to write stories, poems, and anecdotes. My ideal form of relaxing is putting on a show on Netflix and doodling, coloring, or writing.

Wow, I do not sound like the most exciting of individuals!
