Many people think New Year's Resolutions are a bit silly, but I've found them to actually be quite motivating! While 2023 comes to an end, I've been reflecting on my accomplishments and thinking about my goals for next year. So if you don't scoff at the thought of it, please join me in my final contest of 2023!
Rules:
Tell me something you've accomplished this year. Big or small. Was it a goal you had set for yourself, or a new accomplishment?
Tell me about a goal you have for 2024. Big or small. How do you plan to accomplish it?
Tag someone. You MUST do this to qualify.
Have a gift BETWEEN $30-50 on your wishlist, or an email if outside the US. You may tell me if there's something specific you'd like. Do not link it.
You MUST have gifted at least once in 2023. I will check.
Here are my achievements and goals:
As someone who struggles with chronic illness, full-time work, and parenting, I was putting my physical health on the backburner and it was starting to affect all areas of my life. I made a goal to get healthy in 2023, and while the first half of the year was a bit rocky, I still managed to lose 15 lbs! I also successfully bought a house all by myself, and even did a major repair (chimney replacement) in the first year. How cool is that?
My goals for 2024 are to continue my healthy lifestyle and lose another 15 lbs. It's been a slow and steady change, but I definitely think I can do it! I'm also going to work on paying off some big debts so that my family and I can start planning to travel more as my daughter gets older. We'll have to do some unfun budgeting, but I know it's worth it. Lastly, I want to finally convert our spare room into a proper guest room.
This will end on December 31st, so everyone has plenty of time to enter. (If comments die down sooner, it may finish up around Christmas.) Please follow all the rules!
