UPDATE clues from yesterday: not country, not typical mainstream although it was popular music at the time, decade was given. Only one person has come close, and I did tell them in the comments.

SO I absolutely love music as many of you do. I've seen symphony performances, live musical theatre, small bands in a bar, free concerts in the park and many other cool performances BUT I've only ever been to one touring concert! CAN YOU GUESS THE NAME OF WHO I SAW??
