Time/Days/Week/Months/Years

Recently been thinking about this and the invention or the concept of time. Why are there 60 seconds in a minute, why are there 60 minutes in an hour. Why not 80? Why not 30 hours in a day instead of 24, why not 9 days a week instead of 7 and so on. I feel like it just a made up thing that everyone follows and if it was made up differently years ago we would follow it as well..random I guess...
