[Request] Disney Trading pins that you no longer want for an autistic boy (USA)

Post Body

We are friends with a neighborhood boy who is a high-functioning autistic and is a big Disney fan and loves Disney trading pins (the kind of pins people collect at the WDW park/ trade with others / buy in the gift shop / wear on the lanyards and trade with cast members).

He loves to collect them, organize them, categorize them. He had two surgeries over the summer for a medical condition and is still recovering. He really don't have a lot of friends (in fact only one friend visited him in the three months he was stuck at home).

He loves the pins because they remind him of the parks, which is (as you can imagine) his favorite place in the world to be, and one of the few places he feels like he belongs.

If anyone is a Disney pin collector and has some they don't want anymore and would like to mail over to surprise him, it would make a huge difference! We are trying to get a big variety so we're buying some from the Disney online store and some from ebay. I can tell you he is a huge fan of Star Wars, Epcot, Figment, Muppets, and Nightmare before Christmas.

If you are interested send a PM and I can send you an address. We are in the northeast USA.

(This was originally posted in r/assistance and I am posting here based on the great suggestion from another user.)

Note: yes we have shopped for some on eBay but have found lots had a lot of duplicates, had a lot of what we weren't looking for, or had some fake/scrapper pins.

UPDATED TO ADD: If you have pins that might not be what he would like- we have a solution- another friend is going to WDW on 4/16 and offered to wear the ones he wouldn't like on a lanyard and trade pins with cast members who have what we're looking for, so we'll definitely make use of whatever is sent!
