This week we take a look at a “personal care” brand. Not really makeup but still a staple in lots of makeup bags throughout the world, Burt’s Bees is known for natural ingredients and earth friendly products.

Burt’s Bees was founded by Burt Shavitz in 1984 as a candle making company using Burt’s left over beeswax from his honey business. Over the years, Burt’s Bees has become one of the go-to products for a ‘homemade’ feel. They have over 180 different products including toothpaste, shampoo and baby products. But we aren’t here to talk about their household items!

Besides the classic beeswax lip balm, Burt’s Bees has many colored lip products. The lip crayon comes in a variety of shades from light pink to bold red. There are also beautiful tinted lip balms and lip glosses. Lotions and creams galore, there is lots to love about Burt’s Bees.
