Hello everyone! We had so much fun with our last MEGA EXCHANGE that we have decided to do it again! Our theme for this exchange is Floral/Plants/Nature!
You will create your exchange package, post a photo of the contents and then mods will blind match everyone entered based on sending preferences.
Thereâs no sign ups! Just read our directions and jump in!
Hereâs how to make your happy mail and what to include:
First:
For this exchange you will pick a MINIMUM of 15 Floral/Plants/Nature items consisting of at least 3 different happy mail categories. Many people go over the suggested minimum, do what you want as long as you meet the minimum. You may offer up to 5 packages for exchange.
Example offers may include:
- 5 washi samples, 5 stickers and 5 cardstocks (5 5 5=15)
- 3 mini cards, 3 washi samples, 3 book marks, 3 cut outs, and 3 stickers (3 3 3 3 3=15)
Here is the info on the sidebar of what can be offered:
The cardinal rule is that anything sent should fit into both of these categories:
Is able to be used to make mail or scrapbooking art?
Can fit into a flat envelope or flat mailer?
Here are some examples of things that can be sent: crafting things you create yourself, paper ephemera, envelopes, washi samples, stamps, stickers, mini cards, regular cards, postcards, pen pal pockets, cut outs, stationery, papers, book pages, book marks, dried flower petals, recipe cards, etc.
Due to covid, we are not doing any food items for this exchange. We also arenât doing full sized items for these exchanges to keep everything relatively equal for all the users. Papers should be about 6" by 6" minimum.
You may say, but I donât have that many items! Fear not! Here are some suggestions so you can participate:
- Find some images online and print them out with your printer. These can be included as ephemera or used for decorating other items. If you have sticker paper they can be stickers!
- Make it yourself! Little envelopes, labels/tags and ephemera can all be hand decorated with your own drawings or writing. Get creative!
- Cut out images that you find in magazines, books, wrappers, boxes etc. and use those to decorate any items you want to include in your happy mail.
SECOND:
Include a note, a postcard, a bookmark, whatever, that has your username on it, RAoHM (Random Acts of Happy Mail), and âFlower Power Mega Exchangeâ so the recipient knows exactly what this happy mail is for and who it is from.
After youâve gathered your happy mail, follow these directions:
Now -: Prepare your Happy mail! And take a photo of what you are offering.
May 15 to May 29 : Post pictures of your happy mail to the dedicated thread (not this post, we will make a separate post). Posting your photo to your profile or imgur are good places to do this.
u/Vicsinn (Mod) will match up users based sending preferences, and how many people participated. Matches will be announced via a dedicated post. This will be completely random, and you cannot choose who you get.
You may use this thread to ask any questions and to discuss the exchange
