I have really bad anxiety that can leave me with paralyzing intrusive thoughts. I've been seeing a therapist about it for a couple years and have been making great strides, but not quite there yet.
My next project for my journey is to fill a box with self love or mental health affirmations and quotes that I can pull out randomly from the box and read. I know I can look some up online, but I find that I value the affirmations more when they are coming from other people with their handwriting, rather than just seeing my own. Like a friend is passing me a note on a hard day. I've received a couple cards like that before and found peace while reading them. I keep them out to read often.
